About the owner of Premier Disco
My Event DJ career began when I was 16 years of age. I loved music and loved the way DJ’s I had seen controlled an audience with exactly the right music. It was at this point I knew what I wanted to do.
I unsuccessfully tried to get an established local company to hire and train me to be a great Event DJ. I bought my own kit and hired halls to run under 18’s events. These were a massive success drawing in well over 100 to each event most Friday’s and Saturday’s of the year.
Soon afterwards I was getting bookings for weddings and other parties. I developed my music knowledge to, what was to me, brand new genres. I had to self-teach how to transition music in a way suitable to my audience to make them dance. After all, it is my job to make sure everybody has a great time. Even then, I knew every audience was different so I had to develop and adapt to keep the dance floor full.
Changes
These were the early days and my experience has come on a very long way since then. Each and every event needs its own personal touch and this has become a bigger challenge as the years go by. There are many more different genres of music and many more varied tastes in music since those early days.
My experience and skills led me to the best hotels in my local area for many varied events and I have met some amazing people. Being booked for one of these venues was, and still is, an honour and pleasure. It was then that I knew I was on the right track.

Where am I now
Through introducing new services and improving those I had worked on over the years, I have developed Premier Disco into one of the best in the country. I now have a team of experienced Event DJ’s working for me every weekend.
With the use of new technology, planning and coordinating our operations have become streamlined and a totally invaluable service for our clients. New hardware and software systems now provide more robust and reliable business tools. I conduct regular maintenance on all of the equipment I have and regularly replace them with new products and features.
I now provide professional entertainment services that are second to none. Every effort is made to ensure I understand each client’s specific requirements then put them into action. I concentrate on making sure every detail is perfect and I coordinate with other suppliers so we are all fully prepared.
In recent years I have developed my skill set to include MC services.
What I think
I think of myself as an entrepreneur, not ‘just’ a DJ. The job of a DJ is challenging and ever-changing but this combined with everything else I have to do makes this more than a full-time job, it is not only a career but a lifestyle. Life revolves around my continual development and that of my business.
Some of the other skills I have had to develop include: Web development, SEO skills, customer care, after-sales, advertising and promotions, electronics repairs, and motor vehicle repairs. I also do bookkeeping and prepare accounts for tax and vat submission not only for myself but for other small businesses.
All this is great and keeps me busy but the most important part of my job is easily client care.
- You are special and I want you to feel that way.
- I want you to know you are being well taken care of and I want you to be happy with every communication, activity, and performance I provide to you.
- Our past clients are happy with our professional attitude and personal service.
