When budgeting for you’re wedding its important to set something aside for the entertainment in the evening. Remember the evening is just as important as the daytime. It is the time when guests can really start to relax and enjoy, or otherwise, your wedding celebrations. The memories of the reception, whether good or bad, will be a talking point for years.

Premier Disco has many years of experience in providing wedding discos, DJs and wedding entertainment. Based near Edinburgh, we regularly play wedding receptions through Scotland and northern England.

Well before your wedding day, at the planning stage, we find it is often beneficial to meet with you to discuss your requirements. This allows us to get a feel for any plans you have already made for your wedding disco or to help to plan our part a bit better. It also gives you peace of mind knowing that you have met your wedding disco arranger.

The evening entertainment is one of the most important aspects of your wedding day
we will adapt our service to suit your requirements.

 

This can include:

Requesting you favourite music in advance and creating a wedding music play list for your reception.
Taking requests from your guests during the evening.
Providing background music during your wedding breakfast.
Providing microphones for your speeches.
Providing music for your Wedding Ceremony.

Our wedding disco DJs use the latest professional sound and light equipment which we will set up to fit in with your timings and schedule on the day. Our equipment is PAT tested and we are covered by £10 million Public Liability Insurance.

We carry an extensive selection of music covering all ages and styles and are experienced in playing the right mix of music at a suitable level. As part of standard procedure we like our brides and grooms to provide a short list of music for their reception as well as any information about first dances etc. Our standard music collection is extensive and we are rarely caught out by not having that piece of wedding disco music and we will do everything in our power to obtain any music we do not already have. You are also welcome to provide any music you wish with the only provision being that we have it in advance of the day of your wedding to confirm it will work on our systems.

Our DJs always dress smartly to suit the occasion. Whilst performing at a wedding disco it is expected that our DJs present themselves according to the event. In normal circumstances they will wear a shirt and tie but any dresscode, within reason, may be requested.

We will send you a written contract outlining all of the details of your wedding disco when you confirm your booking. This gives you the confidence that you are dealing with a professional company and that we will not let you down. Only too often do we get frantic phone calls from brides having been let down at the last minute by another wedding disco that has been offered more money elsewhere.

With our contract you are absolutely guaranteed that we will fulfill our commitment to you.

Additional Entertainment.

Wedding entertainment normally starts with the wedding reception, the wedding disco and maybe a wedding band. There is often a period of time after the ceremony where nothing much seems to be going on and the wedding party literally just hang about until the wedding breakfast or the reception itself. There are options to fill this often extended period of time and add a little entertainment for your guests or to keep the children occupied during important points of your day. With so many people coming together (possibly for the first time in years) the last thing on their mind is loud overpowering disco music! We agree; It is best to understand exactly what our audience would like from your wedding disco.

Some audiences like a gentle introduction after their meal. After the speeches, cake cutting and first dances are completed, the entertainment can start quite gently, building up during the first hour as guests will respond better. We will always work with you to decide what is best at any particular time.

Alternatively, you may wish for a full-on wedding disco sensational party atmosphere. We can get the tempo moving early and keep it moving with your requested music and the requests of your guests. With a little help from yourselves we can be prepared to go all out and entertain from the very first minute.

Wedding disco or Band or both?
Some wedding parties like to have live music. We can arrange many different types of entertainment for you . This way you know it will all be co-ordinated and takes the stress out of doing it yourself. We can provide, ceilidh, a ceilidh disco package, piper, pianist, string quartet and much more.

A wedding disco combined with a professional wedding band or ceilidh band is a fantastic combination for wedding reception entertainment. We have a selection of bands of all types to call upon, depending on availabilty, to provide that extra variety to your reception. Get the relatives talking and dancing with new family members they don't know... What a way to break the ice! Our disco ceilidh package is fantastic value.

Generally bands play for two hours (usually something like 8pm-10pm). After the band the disco is ready and willing to burst into life. Some venues will serve a buffet right after the bands set, so Premier Disco will simply go into background mode until you and your guests are ready for the memorable experience you are about to witness.
