Location.
If you are planning your wedding function anywhere around the country, we can help you source a great location. We would not attempt to plan everything, however we have many years experience of locations around Edinburgh so can pass on some ideas. In our experience many "great" locations actually don't do that well for functions due to rules getting in the way. Many have no bar in the function hall or the rooms are so small many of your guests feel excluded. Unless you've been in the room during an event you would never know this. We see hotels and castles at their best and worst every weekend, With this experience we can guide you in choosing a suitable function suite. Who else attends 100 weddings a year? Photographers? Ask their opinion too!

Music Choices; Live music and disco?
We can supply a large selection of musicians/bands to entertain you at wedding. We have regular requests to supply a painist, harpist or a laid back jazz band to play in the afternoon or during the evening meal. This makes for an excellent background which will be remembered for years.

Entertainment.
With so many people coming together (possibly for the first time in years) the last thing on their mind is loud overpowering music! We agree; It's always best to understand that people would like a gentle introduction after their meal. After the speeches, cake cutting and first dances are completed, the entertainment can start quite gently, building up during the first hour as guests will respond better. We will always work with you to decide what's best at any particular time.

Disco or Band or both?
Most people like a good band. Since you are in Scotland it is best to get a Ceilidh band, even if just to confuse the non-Scot's among us! Ceilidh bands are regularly requested and they prove to be a great way to start a night. Get the relatives talking and dancing with new family members they don't know... What a way to break the ice! Generally bands can only play for two hours (usually something like 8pm-10pm). After the band most functions will have a buffet served. This allows a clean switchover from band to disco.

After the buffet, a well designed and presented disco will start up. With over 18,000 pieces of music we can cover pretty much any style you wish. We prefer to be playing the music you ask for rather than what we want, so your requests are appreciated. You are in control as it is your party. We are there to entertain you, not ourselves!
